We were chosen by the main contractor in charge of constructing the Cardigan Integrated Care Centre to design and build a small play area in an outdoor space, near the specialist children’s unit. The area needed to be colourful, suitable for children of all physical abilities, and well shaded from the summer sun. We designed a scheme with a small play ship, balance beam, outdoor seating, a sun shade, and some fun play panels to give the children a welcome place to let off some steam whilst staying at the hospital.
